I’m incredibly excited to have secured George Martin to play at my upcoming gig, Through the Looking Glass at the Pack Horse, 19 April.
I met George over at the Peacock bar in Bradford at an open mic, and her soft-pop, emotional songs struck me right away. Since then, our paths have kept crossing, and I was delighted to play at George’s single launch back in early December last year. Supernova, the single in question, is an instant ear worm. A simple arrangement, it really draws your focus to the captivating, sincere vocals, and the piano chords at the end complete the song perfectly.

George Martin is one of those musicians that is not only talented, but a genuinely lovely person. She epitomises the best of the local grassroots music scene: someone who is gifted enough that they could be arrogant but, on the contrary, is one of the friendliest people you'll meet.
